Hi, I’m John—the driving force behind Sharpened Artist.
I know what it’s like to feel lost as an artist. When I got serious about drawing back in 2009, I had zero knowledge of the medium.

I’m a member of the Portrait Society of America (portraitsociety.org) and a signature member of the Colored Pencil Society of America (cpsa.org).

Anyone that knows me, knows my passion is passing on what I learn to others!
