Maria is an MSW who works with clients experiencing issues around adoption. Maria is an adoptee herself and has extensively studied the adoption triad (adoptees, adoptive parents, birth parents. Even if your adoptive parents are wonderful people who have parented you with unconditional love, structure, and healthy boundaries, you will most likely experience some issues from your adoption. Issues that may present are depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, attachment issues, relationship issues, self-harm, or disordered eating.

Maria will work individually with the client and, if requested by the client, with other members of the family. She will help you find what will truly make you happy in life. . She can empathize with you because she is also an adoptee and understands the personal challenges a lot of us face.
