About Sue

I am a seasoned professional with a professional background in multiple industries, I bring a wealth of experience to my clients. My passions revolve around communication, connection, and creativity across careers that have led me to work in hospitals, private practice, K-12 education, higher education, nonprofits, fundraising, and now coaching and public speaking.

My degrees are in Communication Sciences and Disorders (BS and MA). I worked for 22 years as a speech-language pathologist before transitioning to work in communications and public relations in higher education. As part of that work, I became involved with the college foundation and fell in love with the visioning and relationship-building involved in fundraising for a cause. Never one to miss out on a learning opportunity, I enrolled in an online program and earned a certificate in Non-Profit Management from the University of Illinois - Chicago, then a certificate in High-Performance Leadership from Cornell University. I earned my Certified Fund Raising Credential in December 2021 and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator practitioner certification in 2022.

I currently live in the Northwest Corner of Colorado. I have lived in rural, remote Colorado for over 20 years. I understand the specific experiences, joys, and frustrations of people and organizations in rural and/or remote areas.
