About Sherry

Hello! My name is Sherry and I am a Public Speaking Coach. I would love the opportunity to help you "Find Your Voice"!

I have always had a passion for helping those who have "lost" their voice, literally or figuratively. Whether it be people or animals, my heart goes out to those who feel that they have no voice or no right to express what they want or need, how they feel, contribute to the conversation, or share their invaluable insight and wisdom. I, strongly, believe that everyone has a right to communicate and be heard! This passion led me to obtain a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education and Speech Language Pathology with an emphasis on Special Education and a Master's of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology. Although, my years of training as a dancer, course work in theatre, and performances in both throughout my young life tugged at my heart strings to pursue a career in this area, I continued down the path of Speech Language Pathology. As a licensed Speech Language Pathologist for 25 years, I had the opportunity to provide services to children with delayed speech and language disorders, children and adults with developmental disabilities, and neurologically impaired adults. Although, this path was rewarding in many ways, I found myself feeling more and more frustrated as the years passed due to continual restrictions that were placed on my services within the educational system and the medical field. I just could not help people in the way I was trained to do so and the way that they deserved. So, this frustration led me back to my passion for dance early on and I trained to become a Ballroom Dance Instructor (which is a form of nonverbal communication). I have been teaching Latin, Ballroom, and Swing social partner dancing for 25 years with opportunities to teach social partner dancing, prepare Wedding Couples for their 1st Dance, and teach children, teens, and adults Choreography in preparation for Recital Performances.

Although, I have been retired from Speech Language Pathology for awhile now, I have recently decided to combine all of my educational and professional experience as a Speech Language Pathologist, Dance Instructor, Teacher, Public Speaker, Performer, and Choreographer into one career as a Public Speaking Coach! All of my professional experience has one common denominator, which is helping people "Find their Voice", literally or figuratively (as dance is, also, a form of communication and self expression) and helping them discover the courage, skills, and confidence to express themselves on any platform or in any capacity that they choose. I am very excited to be able to utilize all of my professional skills, experience, talent, and passion for helping others in order to offer the most comprehensive Public Speaking Coaching services to my clients!

I look forward to offering you a Safe, Relaxed, Supportive, and Fun Space for You to Explore, Grow, and Transform your Communication Skills without compromising your Authentic Self!

All of my sessions are offered Virtually via Zoom! And I offer a 20 minute Complimentary Zoom Consult to help you determine if I am the right Public Speaking Coach for You.
