About Olivia

I love working with QTBIPOC professionals who are feeling sapped by emotionally depleting work environments and are ready to reclaim alignment in their work and personal lives that feels authentic and empowering.

My clients are often QTBIPOC/BIPOC adults who are highly sensitive, high achieving and motivated with rich personal and professional ambitions, and are carrying a lot of emotional weight that compromises their mental and emotional well-being. Professionally, they may find themselves in work settings where people who look like them are underrepresented and they are the only one, or one of few with minoritized identities in their team or office. The racial dynamics and constant microaggressions and atmosphere that many folx of color experience are especially tricky to navigate and shake off because my clients are so attuned to the people and contexts around them. Even if they are good at navigating it, it's still exhausting and takes a toll. They feel pressure to care for others emotionally, to not take up too much space, to not rock the boat too much, to not stand out too much, which has left them even further isolated, hurt and overwhelmed, and holds them back from taking the risks they need to grow and have their own needs met. They are finding it taxing to consistently remain in a hostile and/or depleting work environment. They may be in that environment now, contemplating leaving, or have recently left but are still being affected by their experiences with racially and emotionally hostile/antagonistic spaces.

I want to especially invite QTBIPOC/BIPOC folks to Access Therapeutic Art through sessions with me, in order to:

- Release emotional scars from discrimination that have impacted how you show up professionally

- Identify and set boundaries with others that protects your emotional energy

- Unburden from the stories of oppressive ideologies (white supremacy, patriarchy, etc) that impact your mindset, self concept and have you feeling like less-than

- Gain insight and alliance with your emotions and nervous system responses

- Build your authentic professional self identity through your creative power

So you can do what you love without carrying the weight of emotional and psychological hurt and overwhelm.

What is expressive art, you may wonder? Expressive art is the process of using art materials to communicate and process deep personal experiences. Making art uses different parts of the brain and can have its own therapeutic qualities such as bringing a sense of relaxation and calm. The thing about expressive art is that it is not results oriented, it is process oriented. Expressive art can be very liberating and empowering, no art experience required!

Let's work together to identify, name, deconstruct, heal, and rebuild with intention, a professional identity that honors you as a whole person, feels authentic and allows you to show up in alignment with your best self.
