About Bernenda
If you’ve ever:
Sent your location to a friend “just in case”
Pretended to be on the phone to avoid someone
Scanned a parking lot before stepping out
Or felt something was off… and still talked yourself out of it
then you already know what it feels like to move through the world without a clear plan.
That constant mental math—
“Am I safe?”
“Am I overreacting?”
“Do I leave or stay?”
That’s not you being paranoid.
That’s awareness without structure.
I know that space well.
I’ve lived it as a woman navigating everyday environments, and I’ve trained on the other side of it as a U.S. Army combat veteran and former police officer—where hesitation isn’t an option and decisions have real consequences.
After nearly two decades in high-risk environments, one thing became clear:
By the time something feels obvious, you’re already behind.
That belief was reinforced after surviving a life-altering crash and losing both of my parents to cancer. It changed how I look at time, safety, and how we move through life.
We don’t get to control everything.
But we do control how early we notice—and how we respond.
That’s why I created my 3C Formula: Control, Cover, Communication.
Control – managing that internal moment when your body feels something before your mind explains it
Cover – knowing where to position yourself and what to pay attention to in real environments like gas stations, airports, parking garages, or crowded events
Communication – setting boundaries, staying connected, and getting yourself out of situations without freezing or second-guessing
I work with women and LGBTQ+ individuals who are tired of shrinking themselves to feel safe…
and tired of questioning their instincts in moments that actually matter.
This isn’t about teaching fear.
And it’s not about turning you into someone you’re not.
It’s about giving you a clear way to trust what you feel, make decisions faster, and move through the world with more control—without losing who you are.

I help people find the confidence and direction to honour what they care about most, make the change they've been longing for, and build a life that embraces all of who they are
