About Janaline

Hi, I'm Janaline, a Therapeutic Art Facilitator and the founder of Healing Art Journey.

Originally from South Africa, I have spent more than 23 years living abroad and have lived in 13 countries. Through my own experience, I've learned that adapting externally is often much easier than settling internally. While life abroad can be exciting and full of opportunity, it can also bring overwhelm, loneliness, anxiety, grief, identity shifts, and a sense of disconnection from yourself.

I support expat and internationally mobile women who are carrying a lot beneath the surface. They often appear to be coping well on the outside while feeling emotionally exhausted, stuck, or disconnected on the inside.

My approach combines therapeutic art, creative expression, reflection, and compassionate support. No artistic experience is needed. The focus is not on creating beautiful artwork but on using the creative process to explore emotions, gain insight, reduce stress, and reconnect with yourself in a safe and supportive way.

Many of the challenges we face cannot always be solved through thinking, analysing, or talking alone. Therapeutic art offers another way to process experiences and express what can be difficult to put into words.

If you're navigating a life transition, feeling overwhelmed, or simply looking for a deeper connection with yourself, I'd love to support you on your journey.
