About Steve

Manchester Grief Coach runs a six-week grief coaching course for adults who have lost someone close. It runs live online, either in a small group of around ten people or as the same six weeks one to one, so you can join from Greater Manchester or anywhere else in the UK.

Each week has a clear shape: a short settling-in, a main focus, smaller breakout groups to work through practical tools, and a brief reflection to close. There are no cheesy icebreakers, and nobody is asked to tell their story before they're ready. The course is built on the STILL Method, a trauma-informed framework that looks at what grief does to the body as well as the mind.

Steve is a certified STILL Method grief coach, trained through its Life After Loss programme, which is accredited by ACCPH and IPHM. It's coaching, not counselling or therapy. It suits people who are still functioning, going to work and looking after others, but finding grief is costing them everything they have. If you're currently working with a therapist or counsellor, that comes first, and the course can wait until it's finished. If what you need is clinical support, Steve will say so plainly.

The group course is £129 and the one-to-one version is £290, both including VAT. It's a course either way, and Steve doesn't offer open-ended hourly sessions. If you're not sure it's right for you, there's a free, no-pressure chat you can book first.
