About Z. Hamilton

Sometimes you know something needs to change, but knowing where to begin or how to turn insight into action is the harder part.

I offer collaborative coaching for teens and adults who want greater clarity, stronger coping and communication skills, healthier routines, or more intentional ways of navigating stress, change, and everyday life. Rather than prescribing a formula for what your life should look like, I help you identify what matters to you, understand what may be getting in the way, and experiment with practical steps toward the life you want to build.

My style is warm, curious, and down-to-earth. Our work may draw from values clarification, mindfulness, self-compassion, motivational interviewing, strengths-based practices, and practical behavioral strategies. I value flexibility, autonomy, humor, and approaches that can actually translate into life outside of a conversation.

I bring more than 15 years of experience across behavioral health, healthcare, crisis services, coaching, education, yoga, meditation, and integrative wellness, along with extensive training in psychotherapy, mindfulness, and mind-body practices. Coaching with me is collaborative and individualized. You bring your lived experience, priorities, and definition of a meaningful life; I bring questions, perspective, tools, and a willingness to help you figure out what works.

Coaching is distinct from psychotherapy and is intended for personal growth, skill development, goal clarification, and forward-focused change rather than the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions.
