When I started Wise Owl Marketing I thought "marketing" would be the easy part. I had been marketing online for others it in one way or another for 15 years.

I naively thought, "I've got this!"

I was wrong. I quickly figured out that marketing yourself is way harder than marketing for someone else!

Promoting ourselves often brings up all kinds of stuff like limiting beliefs, fear of failure, worries about what others might think, blurry boundaries, people pleasing, and sloppy scheduling.

Not to mention other horrible habits we tend to develop as entrepreneurs, like comparing ourselves to others, snacking at our desks, skipping our morning workouts, and working on vacation!

As if that isn’t enough...

We still have to figure out what to do to get in front of our ideal clients and pique their interest in a noisy and constantly changing digital world, and then motivate ourselves to actually do it!

It took me a few years of struggle and stress before I finally set up some systems and boundaries to get my business under control.
