Marcia Narine Weldon

Marcia Narine Weldon is a lawyer, law professor, former Fortune 500 Human Resources executive, and the founder of Illuminating Wisdom, LLC, an executive coaching, business strategy, and training firm that uses evidence-based, neuroscience-informed modalities to transform lives and businesses.

She coaches and consults with current and budding entrepreneurs; executives and senior managers; legal, compliance, and audit professionals; high-potential employees; boards of directors; and nonprofits. She is retained by companies and individual clients.

 She also develops custom courses on leadership, personal development, and legal essentials for businesses and nonprofits.

She is certified or trained in the DISC, Hogan, and CliftonStrengths workplace assessments as well as reiki II, hypnotherapy, EFT (emotional freedom technique/tapping), NLP (neurolinguistic programming), meditation facilitation, brain health, energy psychology, and mental health first aid. 

She is a graduate of Harvard Law School and Columbia University. In a former life, she has served as the Deputy General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer, Chief Compliance Officer, and HR executive of a Fortune 500 company; an attorney for two Am Law 50 law firms; a consultant to a boutique law firm; a board member for various nonprofits; and a business owner in the beauty industry.

She has been interviewed by the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, Verge, Agenda (a Financial Times publication) the Guardian, and other news outlets around the world; testified before Congress on Dodd-Frank financial reform; and served as an appointee of the Secretary of Labor on the Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee and as a Commissioner on the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust.

Most important, she’s the mother of an artist.
