About Steven
Steven J. Henry, MSJ, CPSS, CHW, is a Detroit-based speaker, transformational trainer, and social justice advocate with over a decade of experience at the intersection of public health, community development, and behavioral wellness. As Principal Consultant and Chief Empowerment Officer of Relentless Consulting Group LLC, Steven designs and delivers training, coaching, and community health programs that meet people where they are and move them toward where they want to be.
Steven holds a Master of Science in Social Justice from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Youth Studies from Central Michigan University.
As a former Master Trainer with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Steven has facilitated statewide certification programs for Peer Support Specialists and Recovery Coaches. He is a Certified Peer Support Specialist in both Michigan and Georgia, and his training credentials span health coaching, personal training, nutrition, suicide prevention, and mental health first aid instruction.
Steven's work reaches across populations, including justice-involved individuals, fathers, returning citizens, men in underserved communities, and anyone navigating a major life transition. His signature programs include the 6-Week Life Reset coaching program, the Arise Justice-Involved Program, and the Fatherhood Lifespan Doula Training Model, a first-of-its-kind approach integrating doula principles into fatherhood engagement and support across the lifespan.
He is the Detroit Chapter Lead for The Gentlemen's Network (TGN), where he produces men's empowerment events, including the flagship 'Bro, You Good?' series, which focuses on mental health and emotional wellness for same-gender-loving men.
Steven speaks on topics including CHW workforce development, peer support and recovery, fatherhood and family resilience, men's mental health, life coaching, nutrition, and health equity. His presentations are interactive, grounded in real-world experience, and always designed to leave people with something they can use.
