Mattias Sparrow

Hello! I’m Mattias (he/him), the Uncommon Scribe. I work with uncommon young people to write their unique college essays, including (but not limited to) common app, non-common app, supplemental, short and portfolio related essays. I have a degree from Yale in Comparative Literature and a Master’s in Learning and Mind Science. I have been the Executive Director and sat on the boards of educational non-profits. Most importantly, I’ve worked with ‘different’ students for 20 years and have helped them write 100s of essays. My children are among these ‘different learners’ and I’m proud to say that I helped them get into their top choice Art Schools (also Top 5 ranked Art Schools). I am also a practitioner of yoga, mindfulness meditation, and Taoist arts.
