About Claire

Are you wondering how to catch your dreams after the curve ball you’ve been thrown? Believe me, I’ve been there! However much life may take a different direction from the one you imagine, you can influence, shape and create a future that excites you. I’ll empower you to connect to your dream, unlock new ideas, and find the confidence to be everything you hope to be.

What style of coaching do I offer?

I've set up Happy Tin Coaching to help my clients break free from feeling stuck by using the power of positive experiences. At the beginning of our sessions, I’ll offer you a chance to recall a ‘feel-good memory’ in preparation for our coaching conversation. Why? When something isn't going as planned, the mind pays more and more attention to it. In a bid to 'fix the problem', the mind develops layers of complexity making it difficult to know which way to turn. You may find that when your mind has a short break from your worry, you feel energised and can think about your challenge with a new perspective.

Free yourself from the negative thought loop that runs in your mind

Through powerful questioning and a 'Happy Tin Moment' (if you choose to take one) we'll interrupt overwhelm leaving you free to discover your dreams. With me as your coach, you'll have uninterrupted time to think new thoughts, see things differently and come up with the next steps that feel right for you.

A bit about me

I come from a filmmaking background, having worked closely with charities and the NHS to raise awareness of important health and social issues. This gave me the chance to meet people with different life experiences and gain a unique perspective on society and the world around me. I’ve met extraordinary people. People living with life-limiting health conditions and terminal illnesses. Their families and caregivers. I’ve worked with refugees, internally displaced people, and limbless veterans. My work has taken me from the UK to Uganda, and what I’ve learnt is that every story matters. Every story, when told, has a powerful impact on the person telling it and the person listening. Honesty and connection can reveal a future full of possibility.

I have a diploma in Transformational Coaching from the Animas Centre for Coaching. Accredited by the International Coaching Federation, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the Association for Coaching, it’s given me knowledge, skills and experience to help people live their life in a purposeful way - aligned with their values and dreams.

How my background informs my coaching

The stories we tell others and the ones we tell ourselves are instrumental in the lives we live. They inform our view of the world, our choices and our actions. The chance to speak and feel truly heard is liberating. It's empowering to speak without fear of judgement and without someone else’s needs overshadowing your own.

I’ll offer a platform for you to tell and reframe your story to inspire changes in your life. I’ll invite you to explore your situation from a place of trust and confidentiality. Using a variety of coaching models, you'll explore automatic thoughts and tightly held beliefs that may be limiting your behaviour. You'll be able to visualise your future goals and find your true WHY. You'll discover the resources you have at your fingertips, predict stumbling blocks and predict the ways you'll overcome them. I'll offer you the headspace to focus on what is valuable to you and how you can live a life in unison with your dreams. Are you ready to step out of your comfort zone to discover what's possible? As your Happy Tin Coach, I'll help you re-capture your inner wisdom so you can step into a life full of meaning and purpose.

Testimonial

"I’m so glad I took up coaching with Claire. It really helped me reconnect with my passion for what I'm doing and motivated me to take positive steps forward. Not only were there practical steps to help, but Claire also helped me shift my mindset. I had so many negative thoughts about myself going through my head, stopping me from taking action. Claire helped me reframe those thoughts and have a better view of myself. I have a much healthier perspective of business, the work I do and need to do, and the direction I'm heading in. I really enjoyed working with the Happy Tin approach and drawing upon positive feelings and emotions to help me find the answers to what's important."
