Brent Roy

My passion is to help people discover their values, reclaim balance in their life and work and live their lives with confidence. As a Communications Effectiveness coach, I help people enhance their executive presence and become better presenters.

Communications is the common thread that runs through my career.



For more than 25 years, I specialized in media relations and crisis communications within government.



In August of 2020, I transitioned to Human Resources within the same organization to develop and lead a healthy and respectful workplaces program. I retired in November 2021 to focus solely on my coaching clients.

In my first career, I spent a decade in broadcasting, working as an announcer at several radio stations in eastern Canada.

I studied French and became proficient enough to use it in my government communications positions.



I was awarded the International Coaching Federation's (ICF) designation of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) in 2018 and went on to obtain my ICF designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) on October 5, 2021. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ministry and for several years volunteered in the hospital as an emergency on-call duty chaplain.



I graduated from the University of New Brunswick's Public Service Management Program in 2012 where I received the IPAC President's Award for Excellence in Public Service Management, as chosen by my peers.



My wife and I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada. We have three grown children living in various locations around the world.

Our eldest son completed his post-doctoral research in inorganic chemistry at Technical University of Munich and Oxford and returned to Canada in July 2022 to work as a scientist at a technology company in Toronto.



Our middle son founded and operates a successful video production company in Vancouver and our daughter is an educational worker who also owns her own photography business. She recently (May 2021) married a great guy and they live nearby.
