Find a sex coach

A sex coach helps adults build a healthier, more confident relationship with sex: communication, desire, confidence, and connection.

It's structured, judgment-free conversation with practical goals. People bring everything from mismatched desire in a long relationship to simply wanting to talk honestly about sex for the first time.

How to choose a sex coach

The right coach here is equal parts qualified and comfortable to talk to. Weigh both.

Ask about training. Sex coaching has real certification paths and serious practitioners train for years. Ask what they studied and where. You're not being difficult; you're being a good client.

Match the specialty to your situation. Desire, confidence, communication, couples work: profiles differ, and the coach who's great at one isn't automatically great at another.

Know the format going in. Professional sex coaching happens through conversation, typically over video calls. A good coach states that boundary up front without being asked.

Read the bio for tone. You're about to discuss things you may never have said out loud. The coach's writing should already feel like a safe room.

Questions to ask before you hire

  • What's your training and background?
  • What do sessions involve, and what don't they?
  • Do you work with individuals, couples, or both?
  • When do you refer people to a therapist or doctor instead?
  • What does progress look like in your coaching?

That referral question is the professional test. A serious coach has a clear answer, because knowing the edge of their lane is part of the job.

What to say when you reach out

A first message doesn't need details you're not ready to share. Name the topic in broad strokes and ask how they work:

Hi [name], my partner and I are struggling with mismatched desire and want to work on it rather than around it. Do you coach couples on this, and what does working with you look like?
Hi [name], I've never talked about this part of my life openly and it feels overdue. Could you tell me how you work with new clients?

What sex coaching is (and isn't)

Sex coaching is education and goal-focused conversation for adults. It is not sex therapy, medicine, or a treatment for anything. Coaches don't diagnose: pain or physical concerns belong with a doctor, and trauma or mental health conditions belong with a licensed therapist. A good coach knows exactly where coaching ends and says so.

And the boundary rule applies here more than anywhere. Sessions are conversations, you set the limits, and a professional never pushes them. If anyone does, leave.

How this list works

You're browsing CoachCompare's sex coach directory. Coaches create their own profiles and choose their own specialties, and everyone on this page lists sex coaching as one of theirs. Profiles are written by the coaches themselves. The list shows the newest profiles first unless you change the sort, and coaches don't pay for placement in these results.
