About Mike
Most coaching leaves you feeling heard and nothing else changes. That's not the job I do.
I spent years in Agile coaching before I ever called myself a coach, sitting with teams whose process looked fine on paper and felt broken in every meeting. What I learned there wasn't about sprints. It was that people rarely need more advice. They need someone to help name the thing that's actually stuck, then help them do something about it before the session ends.
I run Formative Solutions out of Tucson, Arizona, coaching people through the parts of life that don't fit into a spreadsheet: a routine you keep abandoning by Wednesday, a career decision you've been circling for months, or just needing to vent to someone who'll actually listen instead of waiting for their turn to talk.
One client came in with a backlog for a life. No order, no priority, everything urgent and nothing moving. They left with a plan and stuck to it. Another spent a year avoiding a single phone call. I gave them a three-call assignment instead of a pep talk. They made the calls.
Vent if you need to, that's real. But you're not leaving without something to do.
