Patty Liu

Hello! I’m Patty, a certified Clinical Herbalist, Educator, and Coach who helps daughters of toxic / narcissistic mothers recover from trauma so that they can reclaim their wholeness and live authentically.

As a highly sensitive person and complex PTSD / narcissistic abuse survivor, I’m passionate about supporting women in their healing journeys through coaching, teaching, and creating plant-based skincare products.

I take a holistic approach with my clients and work through a compassionate, trauma informed lens. Through a collaborative partnership of guidance and reflection, my clients are able to feel safe, seen, heard, and understood. They learn how to process grief and trauma, overcome limiting beliefs, and create daily practices that fill their cups with love, joy, and inner peace. Clients will learn how to reconnect with their whole, authentic selves while gaining the confidence, skills, and inspiration to create the life of their dreams.

I’m a proud alumnus of UC Berkeley where I received a M.S. in Molecular & Biochemical Nutrition and have certifications as a Clinical Herbalist from the Berkeley Herbal Center. I am also getting certified as a Trauma Recovery Coach from the International Association of Trauma Recovery Coaching (IAOTRC).

Tools & healing modalities I use in my practice include:
- Validation & acknowledgement
- Presence, witnessing, and attunement
- Asking powerful questions to raise awareness & facilitate attunement
- Psychoeducation, nutrition & lifestyle education (e.g. diet, sleep, exercise, stress )
- Customized herbal formulas
- Spiritual / energetic attunement (e.g. Reiki)

A women’s health advocate, I partner with the Banyan Tree Women’s Collective, a 501(c)(3), to teach herbalism & holistic health classes to underserved communities around the world.

My self-care practices include hiking, meditation, reading, baking, traveling, and taking part in daily beauty rituals. I am currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
